T. Rowe Price Updates Crypto ETF Filing to Include SUI

Bitcoin remained firm despite escalating geopolitical risk, briefly trading near $76K as institutional demand improved, with spot ETFs extending their inflow streak and Strategy adding another $1.57B of BTC, while equities also rebounded before renewed tension pushed oil higher and S&P 500 futures lower. At the same time, industry infrastructure continued to build out, with Bybit EU adding PayPal, Crypto.com expanding crypto payments in South Korea, and T. Rowe Price updating its proposed crypto ETF filing to include SUI.

Daily Updates:

  • Bitcoin has continued to show its resilience amidst the US-Iran war, briefly touching $76K in early Asia trading today. That’s brought its performance since President Trump first announced the US airstrikes in Iran to nearly 15%.
  • Part of the recent recovery from $60K towards the high-$70K region has been supported by a marked improvement in institutional demand. Spot Bitcoin ETFs saw their sixth straight day of inflows yesterday and purchased $199.4M worth of bitcoins.
  • The last time we saw six or more days of consecutive inflows was in the period between Sept 29, 2025 and Oct 9, 2025 when the spot products saw nine consecutive inflow days — that period also coincided with the $126K all-time high.
  • Additionally, Michael Saylor’s Strategy Inc. announced it had purchased $1.568B of bitcoins over the past week — the digital asset treasury’s largest purchase since late January, earlier this year.
  • Year-to-date, Strategy has now purchased $7.174B of bitcoins, while Spot ETFs have seen net outflows of $280.1M over the same period.
  • US equities closed yesterday’s session higher, after four days of declines. The S&P 500 index rose 1.01%, the Nasdaq-100 gained 1.1% and the Dow Jones index finished up 0.83%.
  • Gains were led by tech stocks in particular — Nvidia Corp rose 1.6% after it announced that it expects to make at least $1T from the sale of artificial-intelligence chips through the end of 2027.
  • The moves in equities coincided with a drop in oil prices yesterday, though that proved to be temporary — today, futures for the S&P 500 fell 0.4% and Brent oil rose to $104 after news that Iran had struck energy facilities around the Persian Gulf.
  • President Trump announced yesterday that Iran was “literally obliterated”, while also calling on the US’s allies to help ensure safe passage of tankers through the Strait of Hormuz.
  • The president told reporters at the White House, “Numerous countries have told me they’re on the way. Some are very enthusiastic about it, and some aren’t. Some are countries that we’ve helped for many, many years”.
  • He also threatened that the US could target the oil infrastructure on Kharg Island that the US military purposely has avoided so far. “We can do that on five minutes’ notice. It’ll be over”, Trump said.
  • Trump also told the reporters that he has requested to delay his summit with China’s president Xi Jinping, citing that “We’re working on that right now. We’re speaking to China. I’d love to, but because of the war, I want to be here”. As a result, Trump said “we’ve requested that we delay it a month or so, and I’m looking forward to being with them. We have a very good relationship”.
  • Bitcoin miner, Cango Inc. (NYSE: CANG) reported full-year 2025 revenue of $688.1M (Q4: $179.5M), with bitcoin mining contributing $675.5M, but posted a net loss of $452.8M and a Q4 adjusted EBITDA loss of $156.3M due to one-off expenses tied to restructuring, scaling mining operations, and shifting strategy toward AI infrastructure and changes in the valuation of bitcoin holdings.
  • The company mined 6,594.6 BTC during the year (1,718.3 in Q4), with total cost of production rising to $97,272 per BTC for the year and $106,251 in Q4.
  • Bybit EU has integrated PayPal as a funding and withdrawal option across its EEA markets, giving users another route to move between fiat and crypto.
  • The addition broadens payment access on the platform and reflects the wider push among regulated European crypto providers to make account funding and cash withdrawals more straightforward.
  • Crypto.com has partnered with KG Inicis, South Korea’s largest payment gateway provider, to expand the use of digital asset payments in the country, according to their press release
  • The agreement will focus initially on foreign tourists, who will be able to use crypto to pay for goods and services across KG Inicis’s merchant network, while merchants can choose to settle in either fiat or digital assets
  • Asset manager, T. Rowe Price has submitted an updated S-1 filing (Amendment No. 2) to the SEC for its proposed Active Crypto ETF, which is planned to trade under the ticker “TKNZ” on NYSE Arca, adding $SUI to the pool of eligible assets.
  • The proposed ETF is expected to track a diversified basket of 5–15 cryptocurrencies, selected from a submitted list of eligible assets that includes BTC, ETH, SOL, XRP, ADA, AVAX, LTC, DOT, DOGE, HBAR, BCH, LINK, XLM, SHIB, and now SUI.
