BLOCK SCHOLES BTC RISK APPETITE INDEX – The sideways spot price action has continued the recovery in the risk appetite index for BTC, as spot moves listlessly sideways and bearish momentum has halted. We now watch for the crossing of the -0.5 level, which has historically preceded several bullish moves higher.

BLOCK SCHOLES ETH RISK APPETITE INDEX – ETH’s risk appetite is far closer to the -0.5 crossing point than BTC’s. However, this is in contrast to the skew of ETH’s volatility smiles which point to bearish positioning in options markets that is strongest at short-dated expirations.
