DeFi Analytics 6th March 2026

This week's edition of our Crypto DeFi Analytics.

Chain Fee Generation

Daily Fee Generation – Over the past week, fees generated on Tron remained the highest, rising above $1.1M before easing back toward $1.0M. Fees generated on Ethereum increased from ~$0.4M to above $0.6M, before easing back to the previous level. Fees generated on Solana were initially steady at around $0.7–0.75M, then fell sharply to just over $0.1M on the 4th of March, marking the lowest network revenue in 30 days. Sui’s fees remained close to $0 throughout the period.

Blob Gas Usage – Over the past week, blob gas usage has been volatile, but was not steadily declining. Usage mostly held in a ~0.45M–0.60M range, with several brief spikes, including moves to roughly ~0.65M–0.75M and one larger jump close to ~0.8M. Recently, however, the usage fell back toward the low end of the recent range, at around ~0.45M.

Beacon Chain Balance

Beacon Chain - Over the past week, the Beacon Chain balance continued to edge higher, rising from ~37.55M ETH to ~37.65M ETH by the end of the period, despite a brief mid-week decrease.

The move comes as Ethereum’s validator entry queue has increased to ~3.4M ETH, leaving new validators facing an estimated 57-day wait, up markedly from about 904,000 ETH in early January, according to data from ValidatorQueue.

Furthermore, Bitmine Immersion Technologies disclosed on 2 March that its ETH holdings had risen to around 4.474M tokens, equivalent to roughly 3.71% of the circulating supply. Importantly, Bitmine is seeking to monetise its large ETH treasury through staking via its upcoming Made in America Validator Network (MAVAN), a platform intended to enhance yield generation on a substantial pool of staked assets.
